"Enjoy your Summer to the fullest"

We are in the middle of our Summer vacation time. I hope that you have a great time this Summer and spend quality time with your family. More than that, I hope you do not forget your faith. Summer is a time for fun. I believe that it is God's will that you enjoy this Summer and what the Lord has given to you.

Ecclesiastes 11:9 says, Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

So, I think it is God's will that you enjoy the things that God has given to you to enjoy, like Summer. I think we should do more than just enjoy though; I think we are encouraged to remember what the writer of Ecclesiastes says in chapter 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

While we enjoy what the Lord has given to us, we must remember that life is short. There is coming a day when you will not be able to enjoy some things as you did before. We must also remember that there is coming a day when we will give an account of all that we have done in these bodies. We can have fun now and not have regrets later when we give an account to God. Rejoice and have fun, enjoy every minute of life, but do it in a way that you can stand before God and still rejoice.

Summer is a time to enjoy and a time to grow. Don't miss the opportunities to grow with your family. Take time and build those relationships deeply. At the same time, don't miss the opportunities to grow in your faith. Look for those "God moments," seize them and make the best of those "teachable moments”.

God wants you to have a great summer by having fun with things that you will never have to be ashamed of. God wants you to enjoy all of your life, but to do that, you need to keep the end in mind. We will stand before God with the things that we do. So enjoy life by keeping yourself pure. Enjoy life by growing with family and in your faith. I encourage you to make it a point to enjoy all that God has given to you this Summer.
