"Spend some time walking and talking with God today!"

Just recently I have been thinking about time with God and what that looks like. I know that when my relationship with God is as it ought to be, it is a joy to be in His presence. What a joy it is to have close fellowship with Him and to know His love for me as His child.

With that in mind, I was thinking about how Adam and Eve were created for a loving relationship with God. Before Adam and Eve sinned, they walked with God in the cool of the day. What a wonderful and peaceful thought. They were given access to God and they walked and talked with Him as His friends. This was the relationship that God had planned for Adam and Eve. It was a relationship that they thoroughly enjoyed.

After they sinned, it was not the same. The relationship that they enjoyed so much became tainted. They were ashamed and they hid from God. The fellowship and the enjoyment of walking and talking with God went away. When Adam and Eve were no longer coming to meet with God something had gone wrong.

What about you? How is your prayer life? What does it look like for you to spend time in a personal relationship with God? Why don't you confess your sin and come and enjoy His presence. Don't run away from Him. Run to Him! Walk with Him, talk with Him, and know His presence. I want to encourage you to spend some time walking and talking with God today!
